What does a honeymoon registry at GiftMaui.com cost?
It's free to register, and there's no obligation. Unlike most of the other honeymoon registries, Giftmaui.com does not have a setup fee, and they don't require that you book your travel through us. The activities that are purchased through GiftMaui.com are not "marked up", they are the same price as if they were purchased directly from the activity provider. Giftmaui.com has agreements with all the activity providers and they pay us commissions. Restaurants however, ARE marked up. They offer $60 gift certificates to a select number of restaurants for $75 each, per person. When you're ready for them to make reservations for all of your activities, just let them know and they will get back to you with a confirmation and an itinerary for your activities. We recommend doing this at least 2 weeks before your arrival in Maui, Hawaii. Compare Giftmaui.com to the other honeymoon registries, where you are typically charged a set-up fee of $50-$100, and your guests are assessed an extra surcharge of 10% to 20%. No extra charges are fees with Giftmaui.com.

Is it safe to pay with a credit card?
Using a credit card at GiftMaui.com is safe. They do not store credit card numbers in their online web database. So, even if someone could hack through their very tight security, your credit card number is not at risk. Plus, they don't require guests to submit their credit card information via the website. They have the option of calling to supply their credit card information or sending it via fax.

What happens to the payments contributed for activities?

Why don't wedding guests just send money?
Some guests do send money, and that's ok too. But many people would rather have something that feels more personal and more specific. Giving a gift of, say, a snorkel sail trip, or perhaps a night's lodging at your accommodations is more memorable than being just another one of the people who sent you money for whatever you decide to spend it on. The key point is this: your wedding guests want to get you something you'll remember forever.

Can several wedding guests pitch in and buy one gift?
Sure, as long as the payment for the gift is charged to just two credit cards.

How will we know if a gift has been bought for us?
You can go to yourMaui Wedding Registry and login anytime to view your registry and see what's been bought for you. Giftmaui.com will also send you a confirming reservation agreement.

What if we want traditional gifts, too?
While GiftMaui.com offers you and your guests an exciting alternative to traditional wedding gifts, there's no reason you can't have a standard registry as well. We expect many of our wedding couples to also be registered at traditional stores.

How do we let our wedding guests know about our registry?
There are four ways to let people know about your registry:
|

How can we link to our registry from our own web page?
We find that many wedding couples create their own registry websites, using this as a central place to communicate dates, times, addresses, names, the story of how they met, and a list of where they're registered. This helps you get over the awkward hurdle of letting your guests know where you're registered without implying that they must buy you a gift. It's nice to use this as an alternate to (or in addition to) sending announcement cards with the invitations, or having your immediate families get calls from all of the guests, asking where you're registered. If you've got your own wedding web page, you can easily link directly to your honeymoon registry at GiftMaui.com, so that your guests can click from your wedding web page and go to your registry. It should look something like this: http://www.GiftMaui.com/findwed.lasso. Feel free to e-mail us at sales@GiftMaui.com.
